It's been getting good reviews, with David Lewis Hammarstrom blogging: "Circus Mania will likely take a place of honor on the highest shelf with Antony Hippisley Coxe's classic A Seat At The Circus. This is a book about the Brit circus scene that puts you right there." The e-book edition is timely, coming at a time when Britain's animal circuses are under threat and in the news once again for all the wrong reasons thanks to the forthcoming trial of showman Bobby Roberts. Since coming out in paperback, McPherson's candid look at life in the sawdust circle has been attracting rave reviews. The book in traditional release was reviewed last year in The White Tops.
