Greetings fans! Convention 2003 was HUGE wasn't it? Lisa & I wish to convey a sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to the commmittee, to Big E , and to the Hanneford Circus for encourageing and adding to Gary's idea to propose marriage to Lisa in the circus ring during the show and during convention week.
We were overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity, and enthusiasm with which this special moment in our lives was shared. The circus people and circus fans made the entire week the happiest in our entire lives. You are ALL forever indelibly inscribed in our hearts and souls. The past two days we are missing you ALL. We shall keep in touch (as promised) with our "plans" as they develop.
Thank you ALL for your kind words of congratulations and the outpouring of enthusiasm throughout the entire week. What a convention! It wasn't just a convention...it was Circus HISTORY. The party - outstanding! The banquet - fantastic. Who can ever forget that balancing act in the Chinese Circus? Who can ever forget Tommy Hanneford slamming his coat to the ground as if performing his act? Not a dry eye in the house at that point.
Who can ever forget Struppi's heartfelt remarks....made me feel like family. Not merely circus...it was an historical event.
