Upcoming dates for Circus Chimera and Other Information

Dear Friend of Circus Chimera at Circusvern@aol.com-

This is our 7th Season.  Hard to believe - there were so many out there who
thought that we would not get out of the barn - and we have been able to
survive for 7 seasons.  We have changed our pricing structure and have a
whole new show - WOW! World of Wonders!  I think that this is the year that
we will go from survival to success.

As you receive the route cards, if we are in your area - or an area that you
have friends or associates - please take the time to email them - letting
them know that Circus Chimera will be in their area - and recommend that
they come to see the show and that they email and phone their friends and
neighbors as well.  Our best advertising has always been word of mouth
advertising.

The Chimal Family, who have been with Chimera from the beginning, recently
became US Citizens.  The Jorge Rosales Family, who were with Chimera for 5
years and have been touring with Circo Vazquez for the last two seasons,
also became US Citizens at the same ceremony in Muskogee Oklahoma.
Congratulations to both families!

Luis and Sandra Fernandez, who have been with the show for 3 seasons, are
going to have a baby in September.  Correction, we just found out that Luis
and Sandra, who had been hoping to have a baby girl, will be having 2
babies, both boys, in September.

If you have seen our 2004 Show, we hope that you like if.  If you have NOT
seen the new show, make plans - we think that it is one of the most
entertaining, fast paced, enjoyable family shows on the road.

As you know, many of the performers who work for Circus Chimera are from
around the globe - Russia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Mongolia.  They work
in the USA on work visas for a certain amount of time.  Many return to their
home countries and some want to have the option of staying and living in the
USA.  To do this correctly they need to apply for Permanent Residence Status
in the USA.  This process takes from 3 to 5 years and involves proving
several things, including that they have not committed any criminal acts,
that they paid their taxes, that they have a permanent job and that they
will add to the USA.  They must prove that they are exceptional or
extraordinary artists - among the top 5% in the field - to qualify.  To
prove this they must show contracts, publicity material, awards that have
been won - but most importantly they need letters of recommendation.

We are currently working on obtaining Permanent Resident Status for:
Luis & Sandra Fernandez - who are all around performers, performing aerial
acts (Trapeze, Aerial Perch), ground acts (bareback riding) and clowing.
Fridman Torales-Rios - who performs his "Pase-de-la-Muerte" (upside-down
walk), soaring bungee trapeze and Charlie Chaplin Themed rolley-bolley.
Sheyla Torales-Rios - who performs as a contortionist and showgirl.
We need letters of recommendation on all 4 of these individuals.  The
letters of recommendation must be separate and distinct and mention only one
person - for instance we need a letter of recommendation for Luis Fernandez
and another letter of recommendation for Sandra Fernandez - even though they
are a married couple, working together, they will be judged on their
individual merits and must have individual letters.
Assuming that you have seen the show and are familiar with the artists, we
are asking that you write letters on these artists.  The correct form would
be to put the letters on your personal or business letterhead.  You need to
introduce yourself, explaining who you are (i.e.: My name is Joe Blow and I
am the regional Vice-President of the Circus Fans of America).  Explain how
you came to see this performer (i.e.: I had the opportunity to view his/her
performance at Circus Chimera in 2003).  And then explain that you feel that
this performer is extraordinary and exceptional - has charisma - connects
with the audience.  Whatever your true feelings are about the performer and
his/her abilities.  These should be mailed as soon as possible to:  Circus
Chimera, PO Box 842, Hugo, OK 74743.

Our route is attached.  Please forward to your friends.  We look forward to
seeing you soon!!
