On April 2, 2005 13 members of the Orrin B. Davenport/ Jake Mills Tent No. 89 braved the snow to attend the 41st edition of Circus Aut Mori produced by George Hubler.
Fans enjoyed the old time circus with lots of animal acts and traditional circus acts. Tent 89 has been attending this circus as a group for over 38 years.
Following the circus performance, tent members gathered at the Hometown Buffet for dinner and jackpots. Circus producer George Hubler, Circus Aut Mori Chairman Leland Clegg, and circus star Svetlana from Russia stopped by the restaurant to visit with fans. Buzz Robson, Ohio Sells Top President conducted a short business meeting. Tent President, Jason Deptula was unable to attend due to a death in the family. District 8 Director Ed Limbach briefed the group on several topics. Mike and Silvius Picallo passed out items of circus memorabilia which the group appreciated. Lynn Limbach, tent historian, displayed the updated scrapbook she has been creating to preserve the history of Tent 89.
Tent 89 is named for circus performer and producer Orrin B. Davenport and Jake Mills of the famous Mills Bros. Circus Family.
