Sunday, April 02, 2006 - Adams, Mass.
There will be a July 4th parade in Pittsfield, Mass. whose theme is "A circus comes to town".
The Cole Bros Circus will be in
Pittsfield on July 3rd and 4th with shows Monday at 4:30 and 7:30. On Tuesday
parade will start at 10 am. Cole Bros units will be in parade. There will be
circus wagons, floats and bands. After the parade the Wayne Mc Cary Tent will
have a luncheon on circus lot about 12:30 with circus personnel. You do not have
to be a member to attend-just need to make reservations when we send out menu
and price. After we will attend the 2 pm show. The other show is at 5 pm. We are
working to make this a TRULY BIG SHOW!!
This would be great if all circuses could get involved in some way. There
is a bill in mass to ban animals in circus. This is a great opportunity to show
that the circus industry is alive and well and will stand together to fight
anyone who trys to destroy the circus.
We still are looking for stilt walkers, uncyclists , bands , clowns, circus
wagons etc. Lets show them the circus is alive and well!! Contact me at
413-743-5484 or cell 413-822-5993 if you want to be a part of this great
event. Looking for a sponsor for the Funny Factory Clown Band also.
Anyone coming to see July 4th circus parade in Pittsfield can reserve rooms at the Shamrock Village inn in Dalton. Rooms are only $69 plus tax a night. Tell them Lions Club reserved rooms. There are only 8 left. I am making arrangements for more rooms based on amount of calls I have received. Their number is 413-684-0860. The Wayne Mc Cary Tent luncheon will be on July 4th at circus grounds. More information will follow about this. Any questions please email me at circusdan@msn.com or call me at 413-743-5484. Thank you, Dan
