ShowsFolks Tent 122 of Sarasota held its final meeting of the season on May 3rd, 2006 at the ShowFolks club of Sarasota, with 40 people present.
The meeting started with the pledge of allegiance and an introduction of visitors. Visitors included 2 District Directors, Ed Limbach and Buddy Calhoun. Next came the installation of officers for the 2006-7 season (see picture).
The business meeting continued with a call for volunteers to label and annotate the tent's scrapbooks. Shirley Adams announced the club was looking to fill next season's speaker schedule prior to the startup of fall meetings in October. Interested members should contact the tent directly.
The business meeting ended with announcements and recognition to members who made this season a success.
 Guest speaker for the evening was Barry DeChant, clown, ringmaster and author. The subject of his presentation was "An Outsiders View of Clown College". He began with an audio piece about clowns. Then Barry presented a very nice slideshow that featured the history of Ringling Bros. and clown college. It was both educational and entertaining.
The meeting ended with refreshments and a raffle.
