Susie O'Brien,Education Rep. Forepaugh-Lubin Tent member does it all. Susie a former Golden Grandma recipient chairs the tent education program, was featured on the front page of April 25, 2006 Daily Herald-Tyrone PA edition.
Susie presented her Walter L. Main Train Wreck - Show and Tell school room lecture to her Grandson's 2nd Grade Class in conjunction with the Barry Lubin "Grandma" coloring contest. The newspaper did a story and featured a picture of the coloring contest winners with Rep's from Jaffa Shrine Circus. Each winner won a Grandma T-Shirt. Tyrone Elementary 2nd Grade classes were guests of the Tyrone Shrine Club at the 67th Annual Jaffa Altoona Shrine Circus. Susie presented her lecture after the children returned from the circus. Second picture in the paper was Susie and her grandson in front of her train wreck display.
The May 30, 1893 train wreck occurred on on Susie's great-great grandfathers family farm. Susie serves as Walter L. Main Train Wreck Memorial Event Chairman on May 24th. Susie can be seen on History Cable Channel reruns of Circus Train Wrecks. Susie Hosts the September 24th Tent Meeting at the Tyrone Train Station. Probably one of the most unique sites for a Tent Meeting.
