TIME RUNNING OUT FOR ENTERING THE 2007 AL THOMAS MEMORIAL PHOTO CONTEST
The deadline for entering the 2007 Al Thomas Memorial Photo Contest is August 20, 2007. Entries are to be received by that date.
The Photo Contest is sponsored by the Emmett Kelly Tent No. 41 and the CFA Public Relations Committee. The contest is held annually in honor of the late CFA member and expert photographer Al Thomas. In 2006 a record 107 entries were entered into the contest. A beautiful plaque was presented to the winner and certificates were awarded to second and third place winners as well as honorable mention recipients.
William Wahl associated with Ohio State University will be this year’s judge.
The photo contest is open to anyone who would like to enter. There is no limit on the number of photos that one may submit. Entries must be 5”X 7” color photos of a circus subject. The entries may be from any time period or event. Entries should be mailed to Edward W. Limbach, 332 Inwood Trail, Aurora, Ohio 44202.
The winning entries will receive their awards at the annual banquet of the Emmett Kelly Tent on October 20, 2007 at the Plaza Hotel at Hagerstown, Maryland. James Hamid will be the banquet speaker. Contestants need not be present to receive awards. Persons having winning entries not represented at the banquet will receive their awards by mail.
