2010-11_Report-Long Term Planning Committee  Submitted by Webmaster on   4/16/2012 Last Modified Long Term Planning Committee 2011 Annual Report Submitted By Edward W. Limbach The Long Term Planning Committee (“LTPC”) was created by the CFA Board of Directors at the 2010 Grand Rapids Convention. The LTPC roster is as follows: Edward Limbach, Committee Chair, Clark Beurlen, James Cole, Don Covington, Maxine House, Cindy Pagel, Peter Wagner, John Wells and Peggy Williams. The LTPC created a Plan of Work for the committee to follow in carrying out its mission. The original thinking was that the Plan of Work would take two years to complete however, the committee completed its initial work in 8 months. The LTPC created a piece titled CFA Strengths and Weaknesses, conducted a New Member Survey of those new members from 2008, 2009, & 2010, and a final report to the Board of Directors.   In its work the committee addressed membership enhancements, attracting new members, and enhancing CFA revenues. Several suggestions have been made for each category addressed. The Board of Directors is expected to adopt recommendations that they feel are practical. Individual committees will be requested to carry out programs to initiate the suggestions. The CFA President elect has requested that the LTPC stay in tact for another year. It is felt that there will be other concerns that the committee should address. In conclusion, this committee was a very active committee with high energy and determination to find ways to insure that the CFA has a bright future.
