Ring Curb

Submitted by Member on   4/4/2004

Curved wooden or steel sections (usually about one foot or more in height) that fit together to form the performance area.  They form a 42 foot ring which is the best size for a horse to be able to gallop around the ring during a performance.  Note in the photo below the inside on this ring have a sligh slope to give the horse better footing when galloping around the ring.  This photo is from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Gold Unit.
