DON'T BAN CIRCUS ANIMALS
  Home Page | About Page

Welcome to my site

This is a site for circus fans of all ages, but it is also a space for my reasons why animals in circuses in the UK, USA and other countries that haven't secured bans on animal performers in circuses, should not be banned. This is only the beginnings of this site, so updates will continously be made

Guestbook is up!

Out of all PETA's supposed Ringling videos, only one has purely circumstancial evidence in it - the logo on the train and elephant's harnesses. The video, entitled Ringling Cruelty, is dated October 6, 1998. It can be viewed at http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=ringling-bros

Until more videos emerge with direct evidence that are recent, it takes more than this to convince me

The other videos do not show any signs that it is Ringling animals, so hence they could have come from anywhere

Yet more childish harpoons from infidelic protesters

Time to start fighting back, Ringling!

No evidence of psyical abuse though, is there?

Bottom Line? It's gonny take more than a few videos to prove it to me that all Ringling trainers do that. Sow-wy!

Ringling own! More evidence that PETA are not only irrational, immature infidels when it comes to protesting against the Ringling Bros, it also appears they're hypocrites if this site is correct in it's accusations against PETA

Well, it looks like PETA aren't the bona-fide saints they claim to be either. On their website, http://www.circuses.com/ they have a page about circus criminals as if crime only happens in circuses. Well, this report says diffeent.

I guess somebody likes their double standards, aye? I, for one, am disgusted that they chose such a disrespectful and, above all, disgusting thing to try and get their points across. I agree they're trying to do something good, but they need to do it in a positive way which doesn't always show people that they're a bunch of herbs. One of the videos did have evidence that it was Ringling who were brutalising animals in one named "Meet Captain Hook", but that doesn't mean anything - that doesn't mean they all do. Get serious, PETA.

The reasons why animals should not be banned from circuses

1. It is tradition - it is not fair to ban this customary and wonderful tradition just because of a few hurtful abusers who put the rest of animal trainers to shame

2 Images from certain websites may not be real - it is so easy for snippets from Ringling Bros to be recorded at different times to the animal cruelty clips and then added on. I've done it myself, and I've got qualifications in web design, photography and computer engineering

3 Compromise - To PETA, the RSPCA, why not just bring forth ideas of compromise to the higher authorities - try asking them to consider rules for better transportation, more adequate surroundings with other animals and better housing for performing animals

4 Just because a few people have acted up and wrongly abused animals, it doesn't mean all circuses do

5 ALL circuses use ankuses (bullhooks) to train animals - but that doesn't mean all of them use the sharp end to impale an animal. I have visited both Ringling Brothers and Carson And Barnes Circuses on numerous occasions on trip out to America, and the animals did not look off colour, unhappy, sick and they did not have any signs of psyical afflictions on their bodies. I firmly believe that reputable circuses train their animals with love and food rewards

Who The Fuck Am I?

My name is Jessica, I am an eighteen year old girl who lives in Clapham, London. I have been a circus fan for many, many years and I eventually plan to be eitehr an animal trainer (no, that's trainer, not abuser), or a trapeze artist. I am starting a course in Animal Management in February and am really looking forward to it.

My interests are that of many things; circuses being the biggest thing obviously lol, fairgrounds, carnivals, juggling, music, singing, drawing, writing stories and socialising
